Finance & Legal - full-time - Munich (DE)

Stylight is seeking a strategic, hands-on Senior Manager, Finance (d/f/m) to join our global team in Munich, Germany. As we continue to scale, it's important that we are constantly monitoring our financial performance, making improvements/optimizations, and staying compliant across the board. You will lead a small, growing team in ensuring that our Finance function becomes a strategic value-add to the rest of the business. 

Key Focus Areas

• Accounting & Bookkeeping: you will manage our Lead Accountant and outsourced bookkeeping partners to ensure that the business continues to run smoothly. We are currently migrating to DATEV, and you'll help to set up new processes, tooling and automations to ensure our team can be strategic and not spend too much time on manual, repetitive tasks. 
• FP&A / Controlling: you will manage our Sr. Controller to ensure that we are quickly, accurately and transparently tracking and reporting on business performance. This means generating fast, relevant and influential dashboarding, reporting and recommendations to share with other business leaders. 
• Tax & Compliance: you will oversee all of our statutory reporting, remittance and audit processes — this includes anything from regular VAT returns to third-party audits to ensuring we're compliant with banks/lenders/other third parties. 
• Finance as a Strategic Partner: you will help to promote the transformation of our Finance function from one focused on compliance/reporting to one that can partner with leaders and add value to strategic decision-making. We run a large, complex business with multiple entities carrying on business in multiple countries and currencies — there is a ton of opportunity to build something incredible here!

Our Team

• Our Business: we are doing 8+ figures in annual revenue with a team of ~80-90 people working primarily from Germany
• Finance @ Stylight: we are a team of 2 full-time employees that work with 3 different external partners/vendors
• Working Style: we are a hybrid working environment, with a mix of remote and in-office work. Our office is located at Mühldorfstraße 8, 81671, München and we expect that this role will work from the office an average of 2-3 days per week.

About You

• You have a well-rounded background in Finance, and have worked across both Accounting and FP&A/Controlling, with experience leading people/teams
• You have a proven track record of building process and driving change within a rapidly evolving business
• You are a hands-on strategist and problem solver, comfortable leading teams/projects but also jumping in and getting your hands dirty
• You are able to communicate and work fluently in both German and English 
• You are able to work in-person at our Munich office when needed (~2-3 days/week)
